The leader of the River party Stavros Theodorakis has arranged to meet with the Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Wednesday afternoon. The two political leaders are to meet at the Prime Minister’s office at 6pm in order to discuss recent financial and political developments.
Mr. Theodorakis has repeatedly spoken of the need to come to a broad consensus in order to overcome the political deadlock. The River party leader recently met President Papoulias, expressing his concerns.
Last month however he cancelled a meeting with SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras, objecting to the possibility of an alliance with Panos Kammenos’ Independent Greeks party.
