The coalition government spokeswoman Sofia Voultepsi has accused the main opposition party SYRIZA of carrying out a “anomaly plan”, while disputing recent polls that show New Democracy trailing 11 points.

Mrs. Voultepsi appeared on ANT1 and claimed SYRIZA has begun implementing a plan of disruption after the 2012 elections because “it lost thousands of voters”. The New Democracy MP also denied rumors that she submitted her resignation.

The government spokeswoman further argued that the DEI and shoreline privatization controversies were all part of this plan, while openly disputing the results of a survey conducted by Public Issue, which shows SYRIZA 11 points ahead of New Democracy.

The polling company responded to Mrs. Voultepsi’s claim, noting that “concealing the truth is propaganda, not revealing it”.
