PASOK issued a public statement accusing the leader of the opposition and SYRIZA president Alexis Tsipras of “absolute political absurdity” and “endless political insolence”.
The statement argues that on the 10th of June 2011 Mr. Tsipras called Mr. Papandreou “Pinochet” and that on the 28th of October 2011 he urged violence against the government, after the European Council approved the second bailout and debt haircut.
According to PASOK, Mr. Tsipras rejected the referendum proposed by Papandreou on the 31st of October as a “cheap, anti-democratic ruse” and “rewarded” PASOK MPs and Ministers who voted against Papandreou bills, in order to cause political upheaval.
The coalition government partner claimed the Mr. Tsipras is retroactively adopting PASOK’s proposals from 2011.
