The president of ESEE, the national confederation of Greek commerce, has requested that an extension be granted to traders to take care of February’s tax obligations. In his letter, the ESEE president Vasilis Krokidis states that:
“Over the past days, we receive more and more messages from trade federations across the country highlighting the inability of colleagues to respond in time to their tax obligations in February, due t to the current financial state and given the fact that the current month has the fewest days.
To avoid the phenomenon of law-abiding tax-payers being added to the ever-increasing list of debtors to the state, we kindly request that, especially for this month, an extension for the payment of February obligations be granted until the 4th of May, so that our colleagues can arrange their financial affairs.”
