In an interview for Vima 99.5 FM famed composer and songwriter Mikis Theodorakis commented on his works, Greece, the Left and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

Nobody loved Greece as much as I do. Everyone who suffered for and loved Greece are dead, I don’t know if it is a good thing that I am alive” he argued and noted that “music is jealous and does not allow you to do anything else”.

I am sorry for Tsipras, because power changes people and the leftist government will take the Left and Greece back” the composer further noted, before lamenting that “he a good guy, but power changes people” and that his is “truly sorry about Tsipras”. The Prime Minister visited the revered composer after the January 2015 elections.

When asked to comment on the latest developments in Europe, Theodorakis claimed that “this Europe has no relation to the Europe we know, it is a tool of the IMF and the Americans”.
