The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has published its latest div on the labor force in Greece during the fourth quarter of 2015 and documented a 24.4% rate of unemployment, up from 24% in the previous quarter and down from 26.1% in the corresponding quarter of 2014.

In greater detail, ELSTAT’s divs show that there were 3.641 million employed, compared to 1.174 million unemployed during the period. Unemployment has a greater impact on women (28.4%) than men (21.1%), particularly among young people (aged 15 to 24), where the overall rate is 49% and for women it is 54.3%.
