The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has published its latest div on industrial production index (IPI) and documented a 4.5% increase in August 2015, compared to August in 2014. The annual rate of change of index in August 2014 was -4.7%.
According to working day adjusted data, in the 8-month period between January 2015 and August 2015, the average rate of change of the IPI was -0.1%. In August 2014, the corresponding average rate of change was -2.4%.
The seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index, after eliminating the monthly effects (e.g. holidays, tourist period etc), in August 2015 compared with July 2015 recorded an increase of 4.1%.
