The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has published its seasonally adjusted divs on the labor force and found that the rate of unemployment in July 2015 was 25%, unchanged since June 2015, but 1.3% down since July 2014.

According to ELSTAT, the number of employed in July 2015 amounted to 3,591,407 persons, while the number of unemployed amounted to 1,196,736 the number of inactive to 3,296,289.

As such, the employed increased by 33,506 compared to July 2014 (+0.9%) and decreased by 508 compared to June 2015 (negligible change). The unemployed decreased by 71,421 persons (-5.6%) compared to July 2014 and by 1,984 compared ti June 2015 (-0.2%).

Inactive persons –that is, persons that neither worked neither looked for a job– decreased by 10.248 (-0.3%) compared to July 2014 and by 1,984 persons compared to June 2015 (-0.1%).
