SYRIZA MP Thanasis Petrakos, who voted against the bill of prior actions required for the third bailout on Wednesday, announced that he will not give up his seat in Parliament.

Mr. Petrakos told Mega Channel that he supports the government, but demands a change of strategy, arguing that the program cannot be implemented and that the people cannot endure further austerity.

According to Mr. Petrakos, Prime Minister and party leader Alexis Tsipras must included all elected MPs in the ballot lists of the next elections.

He explained that the PM has the right and authority to carry out a cabinet reshuffle, but underlined that the government cannot ignore the decisions of the party that supports it. “Germany must understand that it cannot operate as a financial assassin” he added.
