The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has published its latest divs on commercial transactions in Greece and found that the trade deficit in the first trimester of the years was about 4.7 billion euros.

The total value of imports-arrivals, in March 2015 amounted to 436.8 million euros in comparison with 4052.1 million euros in March 2014, recording an increase, in euros, of 7.8%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded an increase of 77.3 million euros or 2.6%.

The total value of exports-dispatches, in March 2015 amounted to 2355.6 million euros in comparison with 2170.5 million euros in March 2014, recording an increase, in euros, of 8.5%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded an increase of 280.4 million euros or 20.7%.

The deficit of the trade balance, in March 2015 amounted to 2011.2 million euros in comparison with 1881.6 million euros in March 2014, recording an increase of 6.9%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded a drop of 203.1 million euros or 12.4%.

The total value of imports-arrivals, for the 3-month period from January to March 2015 amounted to 10,999.2 million euros in comparison with 11,830.5 million euros for the corresponding period of the year 2014 recording a drop of 7,0%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded an increase of 5.5 million euros or 0.1%.

The total value of exports-dispatches, for the 3-month period from January to March 2015 amounted to 6274.1 million euros in comparison with 6387.3 million euros for the corresponding period of the year 2014, recording a drop of 1.8%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded an increase of 549.1 million euros or 14,0%.

Finally, the deficit of the Trade Balance, for the 3-month period between January and March 2015 amounted to 4725.1 million euros, in comparison with 5443.2 million euros for the corresponding period in 2014, recording a drop of 13.2%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded a drop of 543.6 million euros or 12.9%.
