The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has announced that the country’s public grew to 317.094 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2014, from 315.4 billion euros in the third quarter of the year, according to its latest divs.

Regarding the debt itself, about 70.8 billion euros is attributed to debt securities (13.169 billions in short term and 57.681 billions in long-term securities), while 245.249 billion euros to loans (4.542 billions in short-term and 240.707 billions in long-term loans).

Furthermore, ELSTAT’s divs show that public revenue grew to 21.8 billion euros in the final quarter; however income taxes dropped by 436 million euros and the expenses for social contributions rose by about 91 million euros.

Finally, the general government’s expenses grew by 3.7 billion euros to a total of 25 billion euros.
