A total of 45 migrants, including 10 children, were rescued by the Coast Guard on Thursday, after they were located at Mesaria, off the coat of Samos.

According to the Coast Guard, the migrants had been left in a boat that was in danger of sinking. After rescuing them, the migrants were taken to the First Reception Center.

With weather conditions in Aegean having improved, the Coast Guard has noted an increase of migrant crossings over from Turkish shores. This week the Coast Guard rescued 34 migrants on Tuesday and 39 on Wednesday near Samos.
