The Governor of the Bank of Greece Yannis Stournaras provided assurances that the banks and savings in Greece are not facing any problems, after his meeting with the Prime Minister and his financial staff.
Mr. Stournaras stressed the importance of the Eurogroup on Monday and that PM Alexis Tsipras assured him that the government is working hard for a positive outcome.
Also in attendance at the meeting were Government Vice President Yannis Dragasakis and the Minister of Finances Yanis Varoufakis. The meeting was arranged in response to the announcements made by the chief of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi in Cyprus.
