ELSTAT: 1.7% increase of GDP in the fourth quarter of 2014

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced earlier today the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the 4^th quarter of 2014 (flash estimates).

The available seasonally adjusted data indicate that in the 4th quarter of 2014 the GDP decreased by 0.2% in volume terms in comparison with the 3^rd quarter of 2014, while it increased by 1.7% in comparison with the 4^th quarter of 2013.

The available non-seasonally adjusted data indicate that in the 3rd quarter of 2014 the GDP increased by 1.5% in volume terms in comparison with the 4^th quarter of 2013.

It is noted that GDP for the previous quarters of 2014 was revised on account of updated General Government data and revision of short-term indices (for example retail trade volume index revision).
