About a month after the tragedy in the Adriatic Sea, investigators discovered the charred remains of a person inside a truck cab, suggesting that more victims may been trapped inside when the major fire broke out.

The remains were discovered in a truck that was located on the Norman Atlantic’s fourth deck. According to the Italian media, the remains have been taken to the Forensic Institute in Bari. There, the necessary procedures and tests will be carried in order to identify the victim’s identity and to determine the cause of the death.

This is the first confirmed victim to have been found insider the ferry boat, which raises the umber of victims to 10. The other nine victims were recovered at sea and perished from drowning and hypothermia.
