The national coordinator of combating corruption Yannis Tentes met with the troika on Tuesday morning in order to discuss the efforts to tackle corruption in the public sector and the code of ethics for the members of the government.

The troika has consistently argued that tackling corruption is essential to restore Greek credibility and will review the efforts of the past ten months in “high risk” areas, such as public works, healthcare, local government, tax offices etc…

Additionally, the troika is adamant about introducing a strict code of ethics for ministers, deputies and general securities, as it has included this provision in the list of prerequisite actions that are necessary in order to collect the next bailout loan installment.
