Government spokesperson Olga Gerovasili announced that the omnibus bill of prior actions will be voted upon by the end of the week, thus paving the way for the completion of the bailout program review.

By completing the bailout program review, Mrs. Gerovasili underlined that Greece will enter a new phase of growth and development. At the same time, she added, the Eurogroup is expected to convene on the 24th of May and approve the disbursement of further aid to Greece.

Furthermore, the spokesperson underlined that the Greek government is expecting a decision at the upcoming Eurogroup on the Greek debt. Mrs. Gerovasili argued that the IMF treats Greece’s public debt as non-sustainable and noted that the IMF’s opinions are “in the right direction”.
