SYRIZA MP Makis Balaouras argued that the naming dispute with FYROM must be solved “one way or the other”, in a radio interview on Parapolitika 90.1 on Monday.

When asked whether he would accept a name such as “North Macedonia”, the MP responded that he would not have a problem with such a name. The MP added that on a personal level he would not object to FYROM simply being named “Macedonia”.

Mr. Balaouras explained that “there must be a compromise” and that Greek authorities wasted opportunities in the past.
