The police announced the arrest of a 56-year-old expatriate in Thessaloniki on charges of molesting a nine-year-old girl and for possession of child pornography. The arrest took place after an acquaintance of the 56-year-old filed a complaint with the juvenile protection department of the police. The 56-year-old man worked at a television station in Thessaloniki.
Upon investigation, the 56-year-old was found to have nude pictures of the nine-year-old girl on his computer and in a video he appears to molest his victim. The nine-year-old girl is reportedly a neighbor of the 56-year-old man. The police also recovered hundreds of child pornography images and videos.
