We do not want bailouts under any currency; the bailouts are the expertise of other parties and unfortunately it has also become for a large part of SYRIZA’s Parliamentary Group” argued Left Platform member Stathis Leoutsakos, in response to an interview by State Minister Pappas.

In his response Mr. Leoutsakos further argued that “major political choices are debated either as leaks from Maximos Mansions, either via notable government officer, without SYRIZA itself, the bodies of SYRIZA having discussed, decided or planned any of these choices”.

Earlier on Tuesday Mr. Leoutsakos criticized SYRIZA’s leadership for “arbitrarily abolishing the party and putting the bodies in the freezer”, since the issue regarding the vote of confidence was never discussed. Mr. Leoutsakos and fellow Left Platform member Thanasis Petrakos doubted that the Prime Minister would request a vote of confidence from parliament.

In his early morning appearance on ERT1, Mr. Leoutsakos stressed that “the bailouts are not realism, but rather the country’s catastrophe and subjugation” and that “we will defend the rule of the people and national sovereignty until the end, we do not serve bailouts”.
