Real Madrid has been crowned the new champions in the Euroleague that took place in Madrid, after defeating Olympiacos 78-59 in Sunday’s final. In the third-place game Russian side CSKA Moscow defeated Fenerbahçe Ülker 86-80.

The “Reds” were in the game for about 30 minutes, even managing an impressive comeback in the third quarter against, but the Spanish side had a better aim and quickly took the lead. Olympiacos was unable to keep up with the pace of Spanish team though and was defeated.

Olympiacos will return to Athens and begin preparations for the Greek A1 league play offs. The “Reds” will have the home advantage in the series after finishing at the top of the league in the regular season, where they will likely face cup holders Panathinaikos.
