The trial of the former Minister of Finances Giorgos Papakonstantinou at the Special Court continues today with a series of witness testimonials.
In today’s proceedings, two former heads of the Financial and Economic Crime Unit (SDOE), Yannis Kapeleris and Stelios Stasinopoulos will testify, as they handled USB drivers containing copies of the Lagarde list. Another former SDOE head, Yannis Diotis will testify on Wednesday.
Also expected to take the stand today are the former general secretary of Finance Ministry Ilias Plaskovitis, the former State legal consul during Mr. Papakonstantinou’s tenure Anastasios Banos, he secretary of the office of PASOK president Sofia Belba and the former president of State Legal Council Fokion Georgakopoulos.
