The Mayor of Athens Giorgos Kaminis has warned the political parties that he will “tear down their posters from everywhere” as he is indignant with the pollution generated by their election campaigns.

Mr. Kaminis stressed on SKAI TV that “some parties are still living in the 18th century” and stressed that “only a few small businesses benefit from the posters”, while arguing that the parties should focus their advertising online.

The political parties have been informed in writing to “respect the city of Athens” in their campaigns, with Mr. Kaminis warning that the city authorities will not tolerated actions that undermine the quality of life in the city.
