Olympiacos has headed for Turin, where the “Reds” are scheduled to face Serie A champions Juventus for the group phase of the Champions League.
The two teams last met two weeks ago in Piraeus, with the Greek side winning 1-0, thanks to a goal by Kasami and a top performance by Roberto under the goal posts.
Coach Michel has not yet decided on the starting eleven, but a likely team would include Roberto under the goal posts. Abidal, Botía, Masuaku and Elabdellaoui in defense, Maniatis, N’Dinga, Milivojević and Domínguez in mifield, with Mitroglou up front.
David Fuster and Ibrahim Afellay are also competing for a spot, with Megyeri, Houtesiotis, Avlonitis, Salino, Siovas, Vouros, Giannoulis, Bouhalakis, Durmaz and Diamantakos on the bench.
The Greek champions have never won in Turin, having been defeated 2-0 in 1967, 2-1 in 1999 and 7-0 in 2003, which is the team’s greatest loss in recent history.
The next games for the group phase are as follows:
24/11: Atlético Madrid v Olympiacos F.C. and Malmö FF v Junventus
9/12: Olympiacos F.C. v Malmö FF and Juventus v Atlético Madrid
