The Juvenile Court of Thessaloniki has issued controversially light sentences on two men aged 19 and 20 years old, who were charged with raping a 14-year-old school girl and forced her into prostitution, between 2009 and 2012.

The court issued a 3 year and 3 month sentence to each of the two men and controversially decided to allow the two to buy off their sentence (at 5 euros per day), while granting them to go free on bail, provided they report to their local police station once a month!

During the trial behind closed doors, the court heard how the two men threatened the young girl with violence and forced her to have sexual relations with other men in exchange for money. Three other men were also facing similar charges, but were found innocent.
