The TRAINOSE railroad transportation company will sing a strategic partnership agreement with Chinese shipping company COSCO on Monday.
According to To Vima’s sources, the Minister of Transport Michalis Chrysochoidis, along with the presidents of both companies Thanasis Ziliaskpoulos and Li Yunpeng, will be present at the signing.
The deal is said to include 9 points of cooperation, which will ensure the transportation of shipments from Asia to Europe. After signing the deal, the railroad transportation of the Chinese company’s shipments will be prioritized.
About ten train services with Chinese shipments will depart from Greece for central European destinations by the end of the year, which are set to double in 2015. This deal is expected to increase the value of TRAINOSE ahead of its privatization.
