The Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has arranged a meeting with a number of cabinet ministers in order discuss migration and other matters related to the inflow of refugees. The meeting will be held at the office of Alternate Minister of Migration Tasia Christodoulopoulou.

Present at the meeting at noon will be the Ministers of Interior Nikos Voutsis, Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias, Alternate Minister of Public Order Yannis Panousis, Alternate Minister of National Defense Dimitris Vitsas and government spokesperson Olga Gerovasili.

The escalating sectarian and political crises in the Middle East and Northern Africa have caused a major of migration towards Europe, with thousands trying to flee to Europe. Recently a large number of refugees found shelter at the Pedion tou Areos Park in down-town Athens.
