A rally has been arranged by public sector union ADEDY outside Parliament on Syntagma Square at 7pm on Tuesday, to celebrate one year since last summer’s referendum.

In its statement ADEDY notes that the referendum was the “crowning moment” of the struggle against bailout policies and the European Union, where the Greek people overwhelmingly voted against the agreement with the troika, despite the government eventually relenting to the pressure and accepting it in the end.

ADEDY argues that the collective dismissals, lock outs, limitations on strikes and the abolition of holiday bonuses, among others, are still on the table and called people to join Tuesday’s protest.
