The regular season of the Super Leagued concluded on Sunday, with Olympiacos being declared champion for the 2015/2016 season. Panathinaikos, AEK and PAOK are preparing for the play offs, where it remains to be seen who will join them.

Although Panionios finished in fifth place, the club has been facing serious financial problems, meaning that it cannot compete in any European competitions, aside from having restrictions on transfers. PAS Giannina, which finished in sixth place, is therefore tipped to take Panionios’ place.

The Greek champions will automatically enter the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, along with the team that comes first in the play offs. The teams that rank second and third will enter the third and fourt qualifying round for the Europa League respectively.

On the other end of the spectrum, Panthrakikos and AEL Kalloni will face relegation, after finishing at the bottom of the league. Both will participate in the Football League next season.
