According to a Ministry of Finances bill that was published in the Eleftheros Typos newspaper, retired MPs are set to receive retroactive pension increases worth up to 100,000 euros.

The newspaper report notes that the bill in question includes a provision where the State recognizes a number of rulings from the Court of Auditors in relation to the pensions and wages of judicial officers.

Given that the wages and pensions of MPs are calculated in relation to those of judicial officers, MPs are set to also receive these retroactive increases. The newspaper also notes that the rulings of the Court of Auditors are directly enforceable, without possibility of an appeal or delay.
