A survey carried out Opinion Polls shows that Evangelos Meimarakis is the favorite in the presidential elections planned by the main opposition party New Democracy on the 20th of December.

According to the survey, Mr. Meimarakis receives 46% of the vote, followed by Kyriakos Mitsotakis with 25.1%, Apostolos Tzitzikostas with 15.4% and Adonis Georgiadis with 10.1%.

A similar result on Sunday would mean that a second round of elections is unnecessary. So far though, all four candidates have at one time or another disputed the validity of polls and claimed to not pay attention.
