The Ministry of Labor has rejected a request filed by the management of the Rhodes Casino, to approve the collective dismissal of 20 employees. In its application, the casino cites an 8.5-million-euro fine that was imposed by the Ministry of Finances as the reason for dismissal.
In response, the Ministry of Labor warned that the imposition of a fine cannot justify collective dismissals and urged the company to seek out alternative sustainable solutions.
