The Corruption Prosecutor has address to launch criminal charges against businessman Thomas Liakounakos and former general secretary at the Ministry of National Defense Spyros Travlos over the offsets in relation to the purchase of Apache helicopters.

Sources suggest that Liakounakos and Travlos will face the felony charges of infidelity, instigating infidelity and embezzlement. Given that the helicopters were purchased when Yannos Papantoniou was Minister of National Defense, the prosecution has also passed on the case file to Parliament, in order to examine whether the former PASOK minister is liable.

The beneficiary lawyer of the MYSTRAS firm which undertook the helicopter commission is also implicated in other cases of procurement under investigation.
