In order to further strengthen revenue streams, the General Secretariat of Public Revenue is focusing its monitoring of all transactions carried out by taxpayers via the banks.

Specifically, the General Secretariat has requested from the banks that they provide data related to taxpayer transactions, such as payments for utility bills, bank account interest rates, mobile phone bills, private school tutoring, private insurance etc.

As such, the Ministry of Finances wants to have a clear picture of taxpayer expenses and carry out audits in cases where it deems necessary.
