The Vice President of Parliament Alexis Mitropoulos argued that “Jean-Claude Juncker, who is the most conciliatory, brought the harshest creditor proposals to the table” in an interview on Skai.

According to Mr. Mitropoulos the creditors insist upon increasing the threshold for the lowest state pension from 4,500 to 6,000 insurance stamps and to 12,500 in order to be entitled to a pension.

Furthermore, he noted that the creditors insist upon unrealistic measures for supplementary pensions and underlined that the Greek side has not quite realized how harsh these measures will be.

Mr. Mitropoulos also estimated that about 303,000 would rush to retire by the end of the year, in response to the changes in pensions that are currently being debated.
