In a Monday evening interview, the leader of the River Stavros Theodorakis explained why his party will not cooperate with SYRIZA, New Democracy or PASOK.

Mr. Theodorakis told Star Channel that his party “came to change things” and that cannot be possible by cooperating with “the old system, which we are fighting”. The party leader noted that his priorities are the liberalization of private initiative and clashing with partisanship.

Furthermore, he claimed that the SYRIZA-led government has been blocking private initiative and investments in the ten months it has been in power. When asked why his party voted for the bailout agreement introduced by the SYRIZA-led coalition government, Mr. Theodorakis claimed that his party “was the tugboat that kept the country in Europe”.
