The former Alternate Minister of Public Order Yannis Panousis will revisit the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Dimitris Dasoulas on Friday to continue with the submission of his deposition, in relation to his allegation regarding threats against his life.

Mr. Panousis will also address the complaint filed by the current Minister of Justice Nikos Paraskevopoulos and the Alternate Minister of Public Order Nikos Toskas on the dissemination of classified documents.

On Thursday Mr. Panousis testified for about five hours and on his way out of from the prosecutor’s office he told journalists that he trusts the Greek Justice system. Mr. Panousis also said that a previous statement, namely that documents were leaked by the Justice system, was made “by mistake”.

On Wednesday Mr. Panousis told the Institutions and Transparency Committee in Parliament that he never “targeted” SYRIZA or any party MPs with his allegations, but rather that he referred to specific political divs. He also argued that he will request that the prosecutor be given telephone conversations taped by the national intelligence agency (EYP), which he claims support his claims.
