The recently-dismissed General Secretary of Public Revenue Katerina Savvaidou will face criminal charges in relation to her alleged involvement in the non-collection of 78-million-euro fine.

Mrs. Savvaidou was recently summoned – as a felony suspect for breach of faith – to address the charges and provided explanations in writing.

The former GS is accused of intervening so that the 78-million-euro tax fine imposed on a company by is reexamined and thus never collected for the past two and a half years.
