The European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici has ruled out the possibility of incremental VAT rates in private education in Greece, in response to a question posed by New Democracy MEP Maria Spyraki.
In his response dated 21/10/2015, Mr. Moscovici clarified that there is no possibility of using different VAT rates for different education services and argued that the Greek government must decided whether to introduce a 23% VAT rate or seek out alternative measures with an equal fiscal effect.
