The French Minister of Economy, Industrial Renewal and Information Technology Emmanuel Macron expressed his optimism that an agreement between Greece and its creditors can be reached.

Mr. Macron, who was accompanied by German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel, told journalists that he believed in the possibility of reaching an agreement thanks to the intense work carried out by French and German officials.

On Thursday, the French Minister is scheduled to meet with the leader of The River Stavros Theodorakis in Paris. Mr. Theodorakis has arranged a series of meetings with French government officials to discuss the negotiations between the Greek government and its creditors.

Mr. Theodorakis’ first meeting is with the First Secretary of the French Socialist Party Jean-Christophe Cambadélis at 17:15 on Wednesday.
