The 17-year-old Greek student from Alexandria of Imathia, who fell off a hotel balcony in Rome, has succumbed to the serious injuries she sustained. The parents have announced that they will donate her organs.
The tragic death came a week after the tragic incident, which took place during a six-day excursion organized by the 17-year-old student’s school. Italian authorities launched an investigation, which did not seem to suggest any foul play, but have not yet determined the cause of her fall.
According to media reports the 17-year-old student underwent two surgical procedures due to the serious injuries she sustained in her fall.
