The national meteorological service EMY has announced that the weather is to deteriorate again on Monday, with northwest regions of the country expected to be affected first.

Rain storms, strong winds and snowfall in hilly regions will gradually begin to spread throughout the country. The mountainous regions in central and northern areas of Greece are likely to see the most snow.

The islands in the north and eastern Aegean, along with Peloponnesus and Crete will experience the adverse weather conditions later in the afternoon.

By Tuesday however, the strong winds and storms will mostly be focused in the Kyklades, Crete, Dodecanese and Eastern Aegean. The weather is set to become milder on Wednesday.
