The main opposition party SYRIZA has a consist lead over the governing New Democracy party, as two opinion polls recently published give a 3.3 and 3.2.-point lead.

In the first survey conducted by GPO for Mega Channel, when asked how they intend to vote, the respondents replied:

  • SYRIZA – 28.5%
  • New Democracy – 25.3%
  • The River – 5.8%
  • KKE – 5.7%
  • Golden Dawn – 5.4%
  • PASOK – 5%
  • Independent Greeks – 2.7%
  • Movement of Socialists Democrats – 2.6%
  • LAOS – 2%
  • Undecided – 13.1%

The GPO also showed that 17.5% were not certain about their vote and 13.5% would decide whom to vote for in the week leading up to the elections. Additionally, a 43.4% of respondents favor a SYRIZA-lead coalition government, compared to 40.5% who prefer a New Democracy-lead coalition.

In the second survey conducted by ALCO and published in To Pontiki newspaper, the respondents answered as follows:

  • SYRIZA – 31.6%
  • New Democracy – 28.6%
  • The River – 4.2%
  • Golden Dawn – 4.1%
  • KKE – 3.8%
  • PASOK – 3.6%
  • Movement of Socialists Democrats – 2.5%
  • Independent Greeks – 2.2%
  • Other party – 3.2%
  • Undecided – 9.7%
