The Cypriot capital of Nicosia is set to host an important meeting between the Energy Ministers of Greece, Cyprus and Egypt, who will be discussing the possibility of cooperation on energy matters.
The Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, who had previously been appointed as Minister of Energy, is also expected in Cyprus this week to participate in the discussions for hydrocarbons.
The meeting, which is set to take place on Tuesday afternoon, will see the three Ministers discussing the possibility of further expanding the degree of cooperation in the critical energy sector.
The discussions between the Cypriot Minister of Energy Giorgos Lakkotrypis and the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Minerals Sherif Ismail – whose country is interested in purchasing natural gas – are considered particularly important.
