After three consecutive wins in the group phase of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, Greece has already qualified to the next phase of the competition, however tonight’s game against the Croatian team will determine, to a large extent, the standings of the group.

Croatia has traditionally put up a stiff opposition, however their defeat from Senegal and lackluster performance against the Philippines suggests that they will be unpredictable.

With Greece wanting to avoid an early clash with competition hosts Spain, Fotis Katsikaris’ team will not have the luxury of conceding defeat, as the final game in the preliminary group stage on Thursday is against the ever-dangerous Argentina. The Round of 16 is set to begin on Friday, while the final is scheduled for the 14th of September.
