The Ministry of Labor and the troika came to an agreement on Tuesday to merge all benefits with the minimum guaranteed income, in order to “streamline” the benefits.

The details of the ambitious plan will be further discussed in a new meeting between the troika and the Deputy Minister of Labor Vasilis Kegeroglou that has been scheduled for Wednesday at noon.

It has been suggested that the Greek side has asked for the Ministry of Labor to handle all benefits that are currently issued by other Ministries, such as the heating oil benefit, so that there is a more efficient control and distribution of funds.
