The Minister of Education Andreas Loverdos appeared on ANT1 and revealed that he is considering the expansion of transfer rights to university students in their second year.
Mr. Loverdos explained that the applications for transfers must first be evaluated and take into consideration the student needs and laboratory space, as the three largest universities in Athens, Piraeus and Thessaloniki may experience problems with an additional 4,000 to 5,000 students.
Nevertheless, the Minister of Education noted that the matter would be discussed at the Committee on Educational Affairs next week, in order to determine whether there is room to expand transfers to second and third year students.
