The government Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs Evangelos Venizelos has arranged to meet with suspended and redundant school wardens and teachers on Tuesday.

The teachers and wardens held a demonstration outside PASOK’s central officer in Athens on Monday, when the party’s political council was convening. The demonstrators were protesting against the coalition government’s suspension plans.

PASOK members arriving to attend the meeting were booed, with party president Venizelos. After Mr. Venizelos agreed to meet with the protesters on Tuesday, the wardens and teachers headed to the Ministry of Finances, to support the ongoing protest of dismissed cleaners.
