The Greek national volleyball team managed to secure a spot in the European League semifinals on Sunday, after defeating Montenegro in the final match of the first phase.

By beating Montenegro 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 24-26, 23-25) Greece ranked second in its group and will progress to the semi finals after eight years, where it will face the 2014 European League’s hosting nation Slovenia, while Montenegro will face FYROM.

The country that comes first in the European League will also secure a spot in next season’s World League competition.
