According to the latest data published by the Hellenic Statistics Authority (ELSTAT), Greek industry suffered in April, as in April 2014 the turnover index of the domestic and foreign market shrunk by 9.8% compared to April 2013.

This trend continued from 2013, when the April 2013 turnover index was down by 4.6% compared to April 2012.

Furthermore, the general index for the twelve-month period of May 2013 to April 2014 compared to the period of May 2012 to April 2013 was estimated to be 5% less, while the reduction was found to be 1.8% a year earlier.
